| [atrb=style,width: 460px; background-color: B9B9B9; border: 10px dashed #020822; border-right: 15px solid #020822; border-left: 15px solid #020822; padding: 5px, bTable][th] italian mafia it all started in naples, italy. to be more specific, it started in a prison where one joesph giovanni became part of a gang in prison. once the group was released, they all broke off and made new gangs. joe ran with his friend, nico barcardi and they started their own clan where they helped with illegal gambling on the street. they were all apart of the 'camorra' which, in short, was the naples mafia. as time went on joe and his sons were apart of this big clan. the camorra gangs in naples didn't work together. it was more one gang for himself. sometimes, families and groups would fight against each other in order to get 'one up' on another group. by the 1900s, one drago 'sharp teeth' giovanni wasn't liking the way how groups were easy to turn on their own. that's when drago decided to leave the group taking his brothers with him. he said they could be that much stronger if they stayed within the family. nothing was stronger than blood ties, right? so drago formed the 'giovanni clan' which was soon to become the most powerful mafia in naples. they kept the high and respected ranks for family only, but they still treated their soldiers well enough to still have a strong base. they ran their ranking system like a monarchy. when either the boss was killed or arrested, the eldest son of his would take over. surprisingly, this worked very well for the giovanni mob and they made their money by money laundering, counterfeiting, and political corruption. after drago was arrested for nineteen murders, his son, emilio took over. the giovannis had a momentary slip of power during emilio's rule. in 1965, emilio was gunned down on the sidewalks of naples about to go in to meet his family for dinner. at that moment his eldest son took over the giovanni family. his name was alberto, who was 34 at the time, but no one in the family doubted his leadership. he was a fierce soldier who held no prisoners and showed no mercy. which was strange since on the flip-side, he was one of the most loving family mans. his eldest son at the time was fausto and when his dad became don, fausto was thrilled to follow in his father's footsteps. alberto, with his wife, mona, had numerous children. they had five sons and three daughters. the giovannis were well-respected to everyone in naples. when the 1970s rolled by, the sicilian mafia the 'costa nostra' tried to help out camorra mobs by switching cigarette trading routes into drug trading routes. some leaders of mafia groups agreed, others, like the giovannis, did not. this caused a huge disruption between groups and alberto thought it was about time they try and expand out of naples and move to america. by 1973 they moved to los angeles where they quickly became a force to be reckoned with. alberto expanded their usually niches of money laundering and gambling into weapon dealings and racketeering. for a long time things were good. alberto sr stayed active don for 26 years, only going to court twice and being found innocent on any charge against him. that was until 1999 when alberto was shot dead in an ambush. his son, fausto became don and has been since then. fausto had just enough persuasion where he could convince a lot of his family member to come to los angeles, to become friends with political figures, and host extravagant parties. the papers loved him, other gangs hated him. in 2006, fausto moved his family to valkyrie, california, which was two hours south of los angeles. he soon realized he could use valkyrie to his advantage since it was a city low in crime and had great resources like ports to get his weapons in since the lapd were trying to catch him in la. and soon after that, the giovannis were raiding valkyrie and picking up crime in there where they continued their gambling and weapons ring. five years ago, he expanded the giovanni empire into the drug business, a first for the giovannis. too much could be a lot though. not in fausto's eyes. |
the giovanni crime family THE MAFIA SPECIALIZES IN ILLEGAL GAMBLING, GUN-RUNNING, & DRUGS open membership  DON FAUSTO GIOVANNI GIOVANNI DON - 60 YEARS OLD unplayable/pb: robert de niro fausto giovanni has been the active don of the giovanni clan for the past thirteen years. that is quite a long time without ever setting a foot in prison. fausto is overall, the ultimate family man with four kids of his own with his lovely wife annora. however, fausto is also the uncle of many other children that are known as the second generation of the giovanni family. fausto is a very cheery man who holds his business to a very high standard. though he laughs and has a good time, he won't think twice in slitting your throat  VITO 'TRAP DOOR' GIOVANNI GIOVANNI UNDERBOSS - 50 YEARS OLD unplayable/pb: richard burgi vito was the kind of kid growing up that scammed people with his 'get rich quick' schemes. when his father moved to los angeles to set up the crime shop there, vito went with and continued scamming and getting money. when he was twenty he took a slight break from los angeles and went back to naples where he met his wife and had one beautiful daughter, violetta. he stayed in naples under his father's orders and continued to work for the giovannis in naples. it wasn't until his father was shot and killed he moved back to la where his eldest brother, fausto became boss, and he was promoted to underboss.  RAUL MATTIAZZI GIOVANNI CONSIGLIERE - 63 YEARS OLD unplayable/pb: james caan the mattiazzi family have been close to the giovannis for decades prior to the move to los angeles. raul and fausto had grown up together. raul had always been a very intelligent and observant man. after fausto was made the new don, the consilgiere for fausto's father had been arrested and fausto asked raul to take over the job. while sometimes the boss and the underbosses' decisions are fueled by emotion and blood, as the giovanni consigliere, he has to advise the don one what is best for the family taking out all bias and emotion. his advice is always well respected among the higher-ups, and his family has always been considered one of the family.  LUCA 'ANGEL FACE' GIOVANNI GIOVANNI CAPOREGIME- 26 YEARS OLD played by lainey/pb: robert buckley luca and his twin brother, benito, were born in italy, but raised in britian. their father, santino, is fausto's younger brother. when luca's grandfather died, the family moved to los angeles to be with the rest of the family and quickly grew up in "the life." luca dropped the brit persona he carried and completely emerged himself in the other half of his heritage. at eighteen he got to work in the family business. treated the same as any other soldier, luca had to earn his way up the ranks, and eventually became a captain, where he has been at since. fausto had more plans for him as a way to ally with the mexican cartel, fausto married him off to juan sr's daughter, maggie. they got married eventually, and after the russian's ordered a hit on luca, he had to take off to boston for five years where he laid low, leaving his new wife behind. now, he is back and back to work. fausto's eldest son, alberto jr. will eventually take over the business and it's rumored luca will eventually become underboss.  MAGDELENA 'MAGGIE' GIOVANNI GIOVANNI CAPOREGIME - 23 YEARS OLD played by ruby/pb: rosie huntington-whiteley maggie was born the unwanted daughter of a drug lord. she'd been involved with her father's business since she was fourteen but her father had done everything to make her miserable or make her slip up so she died on the job. at eighteen she was sent to valkyrie under the assumption she was heading up operations there. instead she was met with an arranged marriage she didn't want to a man she couldn't stand. now, some five years later, maggie's married of her own volition and she's taken over her father's business. she's brilliant, and meant for a leadership role. she's made the giovannis more than they'd ever thought possible with her ideas and her dedication and has learned to embrace them as the family she never had but always wanted.  LORENZO 'LORE' GIOVANNI GIOVANNI SOLIDER - 25 YEARS OLD played by no one/pb: open
 CARTER BIRCH GIOVANNI SOLDIER/SNIPER - 26 YEARS OLD played by: anna/pb: chris evans carter birch is a very distant relative of the giovanni's but was raised with them. he is the son of the, now, ex-mayor of valkyrie, that was recently imprisoned for being on the giovanni's payroll. carter was trained with the gios and has lived with them since he was a teenager, visiting his sisters and father whenever he could. an amazing natural shot, he was trained to be a sniper. good at what he does and does not hesitate with following orders. he once hesitated and lost a friend because of it. usually a deep thinker, on the job is the only time he shuts his mind off and does as instructed. --- CARLINO GIOVANNI SOLIDER - (LATE 20S/EARLY30S) YEARS OLD played by no one yet/pb: open

--- RHODES GIOVANNI SOLIDER - (LATE 20S/EARLY 30S) YEARS OLD played by no one yet/pb: open rhodes works under valentino, who heads the arms dealing for the giovannis. rhodes actually used to be an cop before his unit found him dirty and kicked him out. he found himself in valkyrie broke, divorced, and unable to see his kids. he had connections to the giovannis through a mutual friend and they let him start low but his dedication quickly got him here. he gets along with everyone in his crew, is also the smooth talker when making guns deals he uses his police knowledge to help them avoid trouble and getting caught --- GATES GIOVANNI SOLIDER - (LATE 20S/EARLY 30S) YEARS OLD played by no one yet/pb: open gates works under valentino, who heads the arms dealing for the giovannis.he really enjoys the fame and recognition of being apart of the giovannis have brought him. gates is viewed as family by most of the family, gates is the biggest jokester and is always playing harmless pranks to keep everyone happy. just recently was given bigger responsibilities in the arms dealing rings. he has connections to some of the japanese where they get most of their guns.  --- VEGA 2 GIOVANNI SOLIDER - 20 YEARS OLD played by no one/pb: shay mitchell born and raised in mexico, her mother was a worker in a brothel house. when she was born, her mother had previously had esme, who is her half sister. the two escaped when they were young teenagers so they wouldn't work as prostitutes and ended up working in the drug labs for the corinthos' drug cartel. they met maggie corinthos who, at the time, didn't work for the giovannis. she liked the sisters and took them out of the labs and got them working on the streets. after the fall of the corinthos drug cartel, they moved to america to work under maggie's direction for ultimately the giovanni crime family where they still run drugs around. vega2 is a little less involved in the business than her sister is. she's fine being a follower and a little timid.  VIOLETTA GIOVANNI GIOVANNI FAMILY MEMBER- 25 YEARS OLD played by lainey/pb: kayla ewell born an only child, violet spent her childhood in back in naples until the funeral of her grandfather beckoned her family to los angeles. she always had a love for art and while taking lessons in l.a., she was kidnapped by the russians and was raped by a russian. nine months later, she had his child and the family tried to keep it secret. for college, she transferred to valkyrie university and graduated in art history. she still lives in valkyrie, heads the family art gallery and takes care of her ten year old son, rocco, who she has been relentlessly protecting from connor. --- GIOVANNI GIOVANNI FAMILY MEMBER- 20 YEARS OLD played by no one/pb: open
 EMMETT SALARIS GIOVANNI ALLY - 25 YEARS OLD played by becca/pb: gaspard ulliel the greatest neurosurgeon of his time, emmett salaris was imported from Italy with a brain to shock the medical world. he has custody of his younger sister, who is a victim of leukemia. certainly not the muscle or the meat of the mafia, emmett owns salaris wineries, carrying on his father's legacy of allowing the smuggling of mafia resources within the company's transportation system. he's quite cocky, and socially inept, but he loves what he does, and he's the best at it.  ALLEGRA MANCINI GIOVANNI ALLY - 23 YEARS OLD played by gurms/pb: candice swanepoel allegra is a multitasking criminal. she's an emergency room doctor at the hospital and is working with the italian mafia here in valkyrie. she is part of the mancini family, who is associated with one of the infamous five families in new york. |

the locales
the m lounge is an exclusively new burlesque club run by the one and only maggie giovanni. it brings in customers and money, as well as potential clients. schmoozing someone while giving them drinks and watching beautiful women dance on stage is an ace in the hole.the club is classy and tasteful and has become very popular.
the art gallery is on main street, above is a loft occupied by the married couple maggie and luca. however the art gallery is run by violetta giovanni. even though she doesn't involve herself in the family business, she turns her head the other way when "special shipments" of weapons come in disguised by sculptures and art. you can find several hanging out there at one time, but don't stare too long when men are unloading boxes from a truck.
though the giovannis originally originated from los angeles, they expanded to valkyrie first as a safe house for fausto's family. eventually, after expanding their territory to valkyrie, this "safe house" is now the giovanni's second home base. people are entering and leaving at all hours of the night, but don't think you can get into the humble abode. this is one instance where the bite is worse than the bark.
