'sup y'all. so i suck. i'm breaking my nine character rule. and i know i don't usually post these until after the flinger is completed, but this lovely fellow is pretty reliant on plots, and the sort he gets. too bad it's going to be really fucking long. i suck. xD but most of you have heard about him.


first of all, he goes by bones? ah wtf. i know, but i like it. it fits his tragic little story. now he's going to be a challenge for me to play, and that's part of the reason i like him so much. i like to think he's one of the darkest characters on v-side. because there's really nothing bright about this guy. he doesn't know what fun is, what love is, what any of that is. and he's probably not going to. this is not a character who will ever be able to redeem himself. god, that sounds so bad. o-o

well anyway, he is from the van der meer family. one of the most substantial families in new york. his father, fletcher, was a lawyer for his entire adult life. his entire family has ruled the court room, and he was no exception. then he met kendall and fell in love. she was a lovely teacher from brooklyn who loved her job just as much as she loved her husband. two years into their quick marriage, their only child was born. they named him atticus because 'to kill a mockingbird' was the sort of life they wanted to lead. the finches were the sort of family they aspired to become. i guess it makes sense, unless you have to be called atticus. regardless, the issues only began to arise when fletcher decided to have a go at politics, when bones here was seven. he was running for senate, just before the election, when the scandal broke out. the only thing he was spending more time on than his political race were the girls. young, impressionable rods with big boobs who had volunteered for the campaign. his name was dragged through the manhattan sewer and back again. the legacy that the van der meers had been developing over the past several generations was gone within five minutes. but that didn't matter. no one really cared. kendall didn't divorce, that's what everyone focused on. all she did was let him turn their fighting around on her. for three years, he watched his father tear away at his mother. it was never physical, never. but it didn't have to be. then just before his eleventh birthday, when fletcher was defending some rapist, kendall locked her and her only son in their bedroom. over the course of the next four hours, a haunting smile on her face, she delivered every bit of damage her husband dealt to her, onto atticus. every word, every feeling. she wanted someone, anyone, to feel like she did. her maternal instinct was gone. she stopped being his mother once the cheating come to light. by the time fletcher came home, his child was sitting against the wall, staring at the women who had run razors along her arms until she died.

he was never actually the same after that. those few hours had done the damage years of torment had done to her. although devestated by his wife's suicide, fletcher still didn't know how to be a parent. atticus was left to grow up by himself. but he didn't know how either. all he knew was what he'd been raised around - torment, darkness. he practiced all his mother had known - silence, taking blow after blow. by the time he was a teenager, he was an awkwardly developed child. he didn't know how to interact with anyone. that's when the teasing started, and it continued through until halfway through eighth grade. that's when his science teacher walked in the bathroom, catching him just before he passed out. the razor was the same one his mother had used. to save how long this stupid thing is, he was in and out of psych ward for the next several years. he spent up to six months in the hospital, always being released onto strict outpatient programs. while he'd been fucked before, his lack of devotion to getting better is what made him worse. he just didn't...care anymore. not about himself. it was his restrictive habits that earned him the nickname "bones". the nursing staff started it, trying to lighten the mood when his weight dropped dangerously low. it stuck. between eighteen and twenty-one, there was a little block of recovery. maybe he could get better! until news of his father's suicide came around. he jumped off the brooklyn bridge, because his practice went under and there was nothing left. he didn't even leave a suicide note. that marked bones' sixth own attempt.

okay yeah. this is too fucking long. i'm sorrrry. </3 to speed it up, he's been in and out of therapy programs for almost his entire life. he's twenty-six now, and was just released from a hospital in la. he wandered to valkyrie in hopes of something new. yeah i know. it's kind of clicheish with how tragic and stereotypical his history is. but there's more, that's me just ranting. i'm tired. personality wise, bones here is obviously a depressive. his self-esteem and sense of worth is nonexistent. at all. he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when he was nineteen, and it's been crippling him ever since. he's struggled with drug use and alcoholism in his early twenties. but because of his lack of normality, he never learned how to live a normal life; or how to treat people. everytime someone manages to get close to him, he always ends up hurting them in the most personal way possible. i think he got that from mommy dearest. part of him wants people to feel the same way he does. 'cept he's really not a bad person. on the contrary, he's one of the most genuine people. he can't lie, can't be fake. when he upsets someone, he knows. and he feels just as hurt because he fucked someone else over. kay yeah. this is soooo long. >_< sorry. uhm, he's one of the darkest characters i've ever played. and i promise, when i play him, he won't sound so cliche and stupid.

see? he's pretty plot reliant. a lot of it revolves around fucking people over. he just can't seem to do anything right. it'd be nice to have a person or two in his life, but his antics can't keep them around forever. but he's trying to turn some things around. promise. heeeeelp? -begging for plots- i'd adore if he managed to work. i like this challenge.

ok, not that i got that out of my system, i can become useful. so i was in the cbox with you with your face issues. i like matt, i like peter, i like colin. so i think whoever you choose, all three of them fit the character so well, and i think that either one of them will do epically with bones. so lucky for you miss 'he might not have many plots' i read through and i already had two characters come to mind. first one was leo. the perrys are also really respected in new york, and leo spent most of his life in new york. two prominent families? i think yes. and, leo's dad was involved in politics too. i can't remember if i had him being a senator or part of the house. oh well, anyways, bones and leo are only three years apart so they could have easily known each other. through stuffy charity events and what not. maybe they could have been friends too but when bones went off the deep end, they just drifted off, or maybe leo's parents didn't want leo talking to him anymore. funny how they both ended up in valkyrie xD the second character i thought of was joey. so, maybe you know or you don't, but joey and syl's older brother killed their parents. and something crazy like that, he probably went to a psych ward until he could stand trial. he was eighteen when he did it, so he is around bones' age too. maybe in some way the brother ended up in the same psych ward bones did. and then somehow when joey and bones meet he can recognize the last name or whatever. idk, i thought of that, thought it could be interesting.

he can also plot with my other characters mos def, but those were the ones that came immediately to mind and instead of wasting your time with maybe he could plot with so and so, thought i'd just give you the skivvy on what i was thinking. everything else can come later xD

BONES<3333333 and the fact that his name is atticus is pure gold. you're ignoring me right now. whore. but i'm gonna be nice and post on this anyway :] yeah. anyway...

well i figure for starters, he could probably know emmett. since em and leo are brobuds (which needs to start, btw?) maybe when leo sees him he's like "dude... that's so and so." and plus, if bones ends up in the hospital for whatever reason, he could get stuck with emmett on clinic duty. oh... man, i hate suggesting this because i adore my little emmett and his life is going to suck anyway, but i love heartbreak too o-o so anyway, they get close... friendish, idk. whatever. but i'm thinking maybe somehow bones meets miah, and they sort of kick it off. idk, she's like fifteen, but she is the most negative, abrasive person on the planet. she's really blunt and really dry, and i just see her kinda thinking bones is some weird fuck (a word she would never say while emmett was there :] ) but he's interesting, so she keeps talking to him. he'd fascinate her. and she'd definitely give him a piece of her mind, because she's dying at fifteen, she knows this, and its not her choice. she never got a choice or an opportunity. and then bones is like trying to kill himself, oh man, that would infuriate her. plus she doesn't have a life, and she doesn't wanna hang out with people her age because they suck and she's losing her hair. girls are mean o-o but anyway, fastforward to her passing. i could see bones totally like shutting down and being a total dick about it, or maybe when he knows she's getting worse he turns into mr. miserable asshole, and then he's like that to emmett and says hurtful things. this is fuzzy, just a suggestion, deny me if you will :]

and next, syyyyyyyyyl. okay, i love love love what lainey said. that'd be cool. like maybe he just sees jo and syl together at some point, sees their resemblence with liam, and it sort of clicks or something? plus the last name, they're the right age, etc. syl would like hate him though, at least at first, because the meer fact that bones ever interacted with her psychotic big brother would probably scare her a little, make the danger more real than it felt in a long time, the memories more fresh. t would piss her off. but yeah, that is all. props to lainey. xD hmm, who else? i don't know how sasha would ever meet him, but she's a good person who isn't phased by people to interact with. i could see him trying to be a douche bag and she's just staring at him with a flat expression like "....okay." and starts like cleaning her gun or something without really giving him the time of day. i think it'd be kinda funny. like "oh, you're being an asshole?" all not noticing or whatever. i mean, really, there's not a lot he could do xD even if he met her at like the hospital when she went in for some test about her huntington's with allegra (no normal doctors xD) and bones like made snide remarks about it she'd be like, "eh, my brother is gonna off me when the symptoms start to show anyways" and basically shrug it off? xD

umm, he could plot with bella? she sort of needs stuff. she's kinda of upbeat and stuff, so she'd definitely be likebouncing around all happy while he's doing... his thing. and bella would be easy to screw over too, and she'd be a girl about it. haha. venny too, i think. he would fascinate dom. if she saw him walking around on the street she would probably snap a photo of him because of the vibe he gave off. maybe they can be friends? she's not exactly the talkative social type, very philosophical. idk. bones would frustrate her. but i think they'd be kinda a funny friendship, and like i said above, they could meet when she snaps a rndom picture of him and just walks away. actually, i kinda like the idea of them plotting.i need to think of some cooler stuff. as for the boys? idk, flynn would try and lighten him up, with alcohol, most likely. gale would never pay attention to him.

i can't get over how much i fucking love the name atticus. bones is really epic, too. GEEZE, ASIA, BE A LITTLE MORE AWESOME WHY DON'T YOU.

anyhow. i mentioned in the cbox that we should plot mr. bones here and cora, and i stand by that. i've got some more detailed info on her posted right here for you. there's a bit of an age difference, which might be a little weird. but corazon's weird anyway so it totally works for her. whatever happens with them, they should be really intense. because i say so; plus they're both intense characters. that right there is what i call infallible logic! is he in therapy or something? if he is they could meet that way. if not, then we'll just have to come up with something else. maybe they bump into each other around town and have a couple of strange conversations (strange mostly just 'cause cora makes almost any conversation she is apart of strange) and then one day a bit later he comes across her purging up a slice of cake into a dumpster somewhere and stops to see if she's okay. then they get to talking and stuff takes off from there. i dunno. you're always free to tell me to shut up. but i could definitely see him being one of those people that she forms one of her weird attachments to, and then maybe they eventually develop a weird, intense friendship. she would be pretty easy to screw over, too, i think, so that's definitely a possibility. i don't know what exactly he could do... maybe something that could send her into a full blown anorexia relapse. but even if he did, she would probably be, like, hung up on him afterward and mad at him but at the same time not mad. i'm just kind of babbling at this point, but if you have any ideas that are a bit more solid for the two of them, you should hit me up.

other than that, it might be kinda fun to do something with him and charlie, because charlie's always trying to make everybody laugh and enjoy themselves. i could actually see charlie being kind of afraid of bones, which is quite rare. again, no real concrete input. they could have a sort of weird tentative friendship i guess.

we'll just pretend like this was helpful.

okay, so you know how much i love this guy, right? he's just so heat breaking and makes me wants to crrryyy. but i gotta toughen up so we can plot :3

so first off kay and him. i have to say, i think she'd be a bitch and tell him to get over himself and i don't want her to do that but she would. bad kay! you know all about her already so i don't think i have to explain her but since she's never been to valkyrie maybe they could meet in a bar, both drinking and looking sad and start talking or some shiz? i don't think she'd ever sleep with him but she'd relate on the whole family thing. her family's definately not as messed up but she doesn't have any left (not really anyway) since she was forced into the bravata. if he ever tried to put her down or hurt or something...i don't know. maybe she'd hit him over the back of the head. i don't think she'd be too worried about anything he did since she's got so much other stuff to worry about. i just think mainly she'd be pretty impatient with him and if he ever did really hurt her she'd get her revenge.

now there's also carson and there've been through some of the same stuff. like she has an ex politician d-bag for a father who's been pressuring her to be the best while still being lesser than him and all that shiz. she's also pretty messed up right now since her ex boyfriend tried to rape her so she's gonna be really distrustful for a long while. ooohhh and then if he ever did something to her like tried to hurt her, maybe evan would come after her? ooohhh right, and she's from a really rich family so she'd probably know all about him from hearing about it along the society grape vine. hell, they could even know each other from a while ago and be all like '....atticus?' if she ever met him. basically, she'd be sympethetic towards him and it'd help remind her that her life ain't so bad. might even be something to distract her haha.

anyhoo, that's all i have right now but as i get more characters, i'll definately be throwing them at you xD

ahh, i'm so happy you guys took to him <3 the more i think about it, the more i love him. so WOO. and the face has been decided: andrew cooper. not even on the list, i know. but yeah...look at him. xD

lainey von admin , well, i'm glad. xD we need to plot more. so woo. yesss, and i want to plot with leo so bad. perfect. i think yes too. i definitely think they would have walked similar circles. even before his father decided to get involved in politics, he was a successful lawyer and did all that shit anyway. so that's perfect. rofl, i like it. xD i like to think a lot of parents were like "yeah...let's not go near the weird emo kid" after what he did got out. i'm thinking that it did, especially after everything happened and his first suicide attempt. i think there could be a lot of fun in there somewhere. if they were friends, and then after just sort of awkward drifting apart. how long did leo stay in new york for? just even passing each other on the street, i think bones would recognize him. follow him in the papers. xD he'd be terrified of seeing leo again. probably moreso than others, 'cause he knew him. idk. xD aaand joey <3 dude, i love that idea. definitely interesting. he's been all over the place, depending on where he lived at the time, so it's a definite possibility. -reads down to becs'- kay yeah, that needs to happen. maybe he was in group or something with liam. some sort of twisted understanding. not that he killed his family, but sort of the fucked upness going on inside his head? he probably wouldn't of known that he killed their parents, so the tension, he'd be like "o-o what? he was just sorta weird." yeah, we should definitely think of something solid. i like it. <3

becs the whorebucket , i'll choose to ignore the rest. xD onto the productiveness. it'll only be a matter of time before he ends up in the hospital. i like it. xD he uh "hurt" himself. he's getting creative with the self-mutliation. god he's tragic o-o anyway. ah no denying necessary <3 not a whole lot to reply with, because i agree with it all. aw. what's she dying of again? 'cause if there's just some weird whatever there, he could visit her in the hospital. he only goes all misery asshole when something bad happens, but not to him. he's borderline normal until then. so yes, i like this. how would emmett react to bones being all...himself? maybe when she dies, he's in the hospital, too. o-o so when junk goes down, there's not a whole lot of avoiding that can be done. man, he'd feel so bad. especially right after she passes. oooor, lightbulb. maybe after all that happens, bones feels like, horrible, 'cause emmett is pretty cool and then ends back up in the hospital. because of what he said...yeah. o-o we'll msn talk.

i did the majority of my agreeing up there in lainey's messy paragraph. so i love this and the connection. i sense a lot of intensity. <3 like i said up there, i doubt that he'd ever really know why liam was admitted in the first place, but rumors swirl everywhere. he could of even heard him mumbling their names in his sleep or something. so bing! connection is made and he isn't too terrified to approach them to ask. well...he'd ask joey. syl's still syl. xD aw. o-o he'd find ways to be horrible to them if he ever found out what liam did. if we plot this out, anyway. i think it'd be fuuuun. oh sasha. i love her. xD i like the idea of random hospital interactions. people who are actually dying scare him a little. maybe even confuse him. 'cause he's weird and realizes that he actually has a choise whether to live or not, but doesn't seem to care. o-o he needs help. and bells and dom are gone (</3) so..yeah xD

LOGIC FTW. yeah o-o me agreeing. anyway. therapy of some description, yeah. when you get released from the hospital, your doctor there usually makes some sort of referal and bam, you're stuck on someone else's couch. especially after release, he is pretty good about trying to help himself. it never sticks, because he sucks, but yeah. that's what i did. v-side therapists - they need them xD i like that idea. maybe their docs are in the same building, and most sessions are at similar times, so they're like, waiting room buddies? never really have to talk to each other, but after seeing each other several times a week, i assume there will be some sort of recognition xD ooh, i like that idea. all of it, actually. there might even be some sort of mutual attachment. he's never really interacted with other fucked up people outside of therapy. aw, that's so tragical. if you want it to happen to her, i'm down. :] he's been known to do things like that. maybe they're really that destructive to one another? just sort of...stuck in darkness together? it makes things remarkably more complicated, trust me. even if nothing huge happens, slowly sort of relapsing? maybe someone ends up in the hospital again? he'd stop taking his meds if he realizes he did something to her. and then it starts all over again. jesus o-o we're mean. well yeah, i like the basis for this. we'll do a plot sesh again. lay the groundwork first. <3

aww. he would so take it personally if she went out of her way to say that to him. god, he's too sensitive. he probably knows he has to get over himself. but he's dumb and can't. i kind of like that idea xD everytime he unconsciously tries to do something to her, she just comes back harder. if might even force him to straighten up a little. like, to see someone just sort of rolling back, it might make him look around. even for awhile. aw, and i need to plot with carson. <3 i love her. i like the idea of their families knowing each other, even if it's only distantly. it'd be awkward to see her again. i don't really have any ideas. xD maybe..hm. idk. they re-meet at some mutual...whatever. for their families or something? even if they hate them. he'd probably go to something just for something to do. or 'cause his doc told him to "interact with society" again. they seem to assume that because of his background, he likes stuffy charity-givers. anyway, whatever. if they re-meet, they just sorta end up sitting outside talking? just about how life has changed since the've known each other? idk. xD

k.b - haha yeshhh. he can be all like 'ohmygodthathurt' and she'll be like 'bitch please'. kay definately won't be putting up with his crap and this would create some friction between them i think. they could be weird kinda friends when he's not trying to hurt her and when he does they could go into this mini fight thing and the next day it's all good.

c.b - haha yes, they can have this awkward moment where they're like 'soooo...' and then get distracted and dragged away by other people. and then later in the night carson's taking a breather outside and stumbles on bones. OOHHH i can see her calling him atticus or something like that, not actually bones, just because she'll remember him back before he got the nickname. he could even tell her the nickname and she'll be like 'and?' maybe they could be like childhood distant friends? like friend of a family friend or something so then she knows what he was like before he got all messed up? i don't know, i'm beginning to think this isn't a very good idea but i'm just throwing it out there for you :3
