PERSONALITY
when asked about what she would describe herself as, many words come to mind. for one, jules is witty, and she's quite fond of that fact. she loves her cunning, quick mind and she especially likes to make use of it. she often tends to confuse or offend people but jules is often too carefree to give a damn about it. she cares about the people around her that she considers close to her but she certainly doesn't go out of her way to make strangers feel comfortable. she constantly loves to call people out on their bullshit. if someone close to her is being too stubborn or foolhardy jules will be the first person to say something about it and, depending on how close she is to someone, smack them upside the head.
jules is very independent and she's always been as such. she loves her family and she's still managed to be independent without burning that bridge, but jules lives alone and she's quite happy with that. she's an expert marksman and that tends to help her sleep at night. she of course doesn't have the eyes of an owl but she's good at picking out sounds in a dimly-lit alley and hitting her target. she's a perfectionist and prides herself on doing a job right when she has to do a job. if she doesn't deliver a shipment on time or if her man get away jules tends to beat herself up about it for about a week or so, losing herself to booze and damage of self. she likes to be able to prove to herself that she can do the things she's set out to do and so far no one has really been able to stop her. she's strong-willed and wholly stubborn and she really won't stand for making costly mistakes.
it's also a matter of pride. missing shipments and screwing up means less trust with a client so she always tries to avoid that problem. this job is her life so she really cares about going above and beyond in the job and proving herself. more than anything jules has an issue with men who think she isn't worth anything because she is a woman and prides herself in proving them wrong, though she doesn't go about so earning their appreciation and respect. jules will beat anyone down who talks down to her. it's one of the only times her nitty, gritty irish nature comes out and it's hard to put a stop to. she doesn't care about authority when it comes to people patronizing her and those who know her best and give her jobs usually tend to know who not to let her around though there have been slips.
lastly jules is tolerant of anyone who isn't stupid. she'll like you if you like her first and if she gives you a compliment and you take it well she'll be nice to you. it's plain and simple. she likes guys who appreciate her for more than her bra size for sure and she'll happily put any man in their place who thinks that they can treat her badly. jules won't stand for it. she'll also stick up for any woman in a bad situation not to mention the fact that she will level anyone who threatens her sister, her family, or their business. the webbers are the one no fly zone in jules' opinion.

FAMILY LIFE
the webber family is really one full of cavalier people. braeden and darla have an open relationship in which they have other partners, happily. jules and tierney's mother has been dating a twenty-five year old pool guy for a few years and they fully support her as well as braeden who has been dating the same man for nearly twenty years, of and on. no one would expect them to be as close as they are but they really just mesh well together. they're always there for one another in a way that a lot of people didn't understand. due to the way they were raised, jules and tee are also incredibly understanding of people.
PARENTS/SIBLINGS
braeden devlin webber - father, fifty-nine, bar owner. braeden is very close with his eldest daughter. they often hang out around the bar tossing peanuts at one another and sharing witty banter.
darla marie martin - mother, fifty-four, costume designer. darla is very close to jules though she's always been slightly preferential to the younger daughter. jules doesn't mind. she knows her mother loves her regardless and she knows tierney doesn't have as close a bond to braeden as she.
tierney agnes webber - sister, twenty-one, college student. jules and tee have a close relationship. they aren't separated by many years so there isn't much difference there and she and tee are both witty and sarcastic so they're always going back and forth about something.

HISTORY
my story isn't like most other people's stories. mine doesn't start with two parents who saw each other from across the room and sparks flew and they dated and everything was fucking magical. my parents love each other, don't doubt it, but it's a different kind of unconventional love. my parents had grown up together back in the day. i'm pretty sure that they had known one another since they were like four or so. my father came from a hugely conservative, extremist, religious family. basically the type of annoying bible-preachers that look down upon other religions and try to push their beliefs onto you. they were lovely fucking people i can assure you. my mother grew up with your classic hippies. they were pot smoking, daisy in your hair wearing, and floor length skirts kind of hippies. they were great, understanding people. it wasn't surprising that my father would love those people more than his own family, especially since he was kinsey six gay.
yes. my father is gay. yes. i am aware of this fact. yes. my mother was aware of this fact when she married him. things were different back then. even though there was a lot of freedom there was also a lot of judgment and my father decided that he would rather marry his best friend than lie to his parents. so that was exactly what he did. in their second year of college my father asked my mother to marry him. of course she hadn't been expecting it but she understood why and couldn't imagine anyone better at the time to marry. she knew it meant that things could be different but she hadn't had anyone else in her life at the time and my father was pretty much like a brother to her. so she married him and everyone was happy. my mother's parents knew what the deal was and though they worried about my mother in the long run they never worried about her happiness. that might have been one of the finalizing moments for my mother's decision.
they married and were settled for about three years before they decided to go the whole "open relationship" route. my father dated men, my mother dated men. everything was well and good for years. neither really minded about the situation they were in. a few years later my parents held this big bash where everyone got trashed. they woke up the next morning naked in their bed for the first time ever and learned a few months later that they were pregnant with me. unexpected for sure, but they still went along with it and a few months later they gave birth to moi. the funniest part has to be though that two years later they did it again. this time around though i don't think they were drunk...at least not blackout drunk. i can't explain it, they won't, and honestly i don't want to know. regardless my little sister tierney was born and that was the extent of the webber family expansion.
we lived in charleston for about fifteen years before moving to valkyrie so my father could pursue his dream of owning a pub in the style of the old country. i spent my senior year at valkyrie academy and graduated with ease. school had never been much of a challenge for me. i spent the summer working at my father's pub, serving beers to drunk irishmen who just wanted a taste of home. it suddenly became the local hangout for the irish gang in valkyrie and suddenly a slew of bastards and roughnecks were hanging around the place. they were interesting people and they understood my humor so they were a-okay in my book. i was propositioned by an old irish man a week before i was supposed to leave for college, no not for sex, but to go with him on a run because he was old and wasn't sure just how much he could handle on his own. i'd known him for a few months at that point and i knew he wasn't a bad guy so i said sure. turns out it was my first gun run. i found out at the trade of course but i didn't freak. i figured if i was finding out as we passed them off that it wouldn't do any good to freak. so i didn't. i even joked to the old man that his ideas for hiding guns were antiquated and that he should try this, that, and the other. he told me it was a solid idea and that i should try it the next time i came up on my own.
that was pretty much my initiation. i went from zero to sixty in a matter of days. i skipped out on going to college and stuck around valkyrie instead. i told my parents it just didn't feel like it was for me anymore and they didn't care as long as i made enough money to support myself because they weren't going to house me under their roof as a mooch. so i worked at the bar most of the time and took up residence at the small apartment above the business and i ran guns on the weekends. still do. my parents don't ask questions and i don't flaunt my extra cash so life is just peachy right now. i'm liking it. i've got a steady clientele and they're good to me. oh, and when i started running i made sure to know that the fuck i was doing with guns. i became a pretty good shot if i do say so myself. so i recently started branching out my services. i'm a hitwoman, for lack of a better word.
