Esme Vega is accustomed to living a pretty difficult life. Her mother worked in a brothel at the time of her birth in Mexico meaning many different men could have possibly been her father. The man she was the closest to was gunned down right before her very eyes at the age of six and since then she's carried a chip on her shoulder. As if that wasn't enough her mother planned to turn her in to work in the brothel when she was only thirteen years old. Esme waited for the owner to come in and attempt to rape her but instead of just laying there she stabbed the man multiple times, woke her younger sister, and ran away. She ended up working in a drug lab as a young teenager where she met Maggie. Today she works with the Italian Mafia, she loves her job with the Giovanni's but her main allegiances lie with Maggie since her family was the one to save Esme and her sister's lives.
On the surface Esme comes off as a pretty and shy little Mexican girl which will probably draw a few people in for FRIENDS but unfortunately that isn't the case with Esme. She's not shy or quiet and she isn't the quintessential "pretty" girl. Esme is as tough as they come and an expert at fighting and weapons if she ever has to use them to defend herself. But, she knows how to turn it off to make her image work for her. She'll need all types of friends, during the early hours of the night she works as a bartender which allows her to be social and quite funny so maybe friends who don't know her as Esme the soldier for the Mafia. Then of course criminal friends, I'm sure they have some sort of circle but Esme NEVER talks about her affiliation. Then of course friends within the mafia.
While it may seem as though Esmeralda is pretty much asexual because of her distant personality and not being honest about her lifestyle that's not the case. Esme would have had her fair share of LOVERS. Not to have her confused as being a slut but the girl loves sex. Deep down it is her dream to possibly move back to a nice part of Mexico, get married, have kids, and act like her past didn't exist but for right now she's about tending to her needs. She loves older men because they're the ones who usually take care of her but she's more prone to cheat on them with younger criminals and gangsters. She loves a bad boy who can match with her sarcastic and see through her tough exterior. On the other hand Esme also loves exotic women, she's also had a share of female lovers but she knows she'll take a man more serious.
It's human nature to have ENEMIES and if you're like "aww man, Esme is sooo awesome!" I'll show you why someone could hate her. Esme is... a bitch. Not just in a "mob bitch" kind of way she's really outspoken and even though she had a crappy childhood she has this aura of arrogance about her. She's not the type to use the fact that she's connected as a shield to talk sh*t, it's the fact that she's overcome every obstacle in her life. She knows 5 languages, she's very intelligent, and she's making more money than she would have ever made if she went to college or stayed in Mexico. Not only is she a bitch but she can come off as cold and she has a habit of sabotaging important relationships because she's scared that someone connected won't love her for her or that someone normal would be scared of her.
I wasn't expecting that to be long but I apparently had a lot to say... haha oh yeah, feel free to contact me anytime. Even if I have sprouts of inactivity I'm ALWAYS on the internet. (No really, I'm always online).

yours & mine your shipper reply doesn't work, so i hope this is ok. i'm lainey, welcome to the site! so i have luca, who is maggie's husband, so he would know esme and her sister, but since his business lies with illegal gambling, they probably wouldn't run into each other as often. i'm lame and really don't have anything beyond that, xD but i thought i should mention it. my other ital is jeremy aka lucky here. he's really fbi undercover but no one knows that fact about him. he likes to party and right now, sleeps around. he hangs around the m lounge a lot because he likes hooking up with the dancers, so if esme is a bartender there, he would have most definitely seen her. i can see them being casual hook-up buddies because they're both there and they know the other isn't looking for something more? tell me what you think. another one of my characters i thought of, is my poor sap jesse lennox. he's straight-up fbi, but he doesn't deal with violent crimes or organized crime, he's just counter terrorism. but he's been recently benched from his job because people thought he was dead, but then he wasn't. lol. and then there was the ex girlfriend he's still in love with but she lied and said she was getting married. anyway, moral of the story is, jesse is more of an alcoholic these days and since she bartends, if he gets drunk, he would be probably just talk to her, even if she was only listening with one ear and attending to the other customers. i sort of thought of one of my girls, lana. they sort of had the similar suck-ass childhood. lana saw her dad get shot before her eyes. she's of the russian bratva, but only because she's repaying a debt and not because she wants to. i don't know how, but i feel like somehow they would be friends, bonding over their broken childhood. but, i can't think of a way they'd both discover that about the other xD add/reject/edit any of these ideas. all my other characters can be found here. if any of them jump out at you, just tell me. =) |

For Lainey . Aww man! I must have messed something up, I'm not used to enhanced proboards at all...
But I agree with what you said about Luca. I don't really see Esme really conversing or being too buddy buddy with anyone kind of high up in the mafia because she's mostly in it for Maggie anyway. So what you said is fine! I kind of see their relationship being kind of Mob wives-ish where they may not have formally met but know about each other through gossip and whatnot. Maybe later they could meet, who knows!
Jeremy and Esme could be fun, who doesn't like casual hookups/friends with benefits type plots? I kind of have an idea but I'm going to creep the site a bit more to get a feel of things LOL. But til then we could thread them to see how things flow!
Haha awww poor Jesse I think that if Esme knew he was FBI she would be extremely weary of him at first but eventually settle down once she kind of sees how he really is. I think Esme would really look out for him like one nights he drinks a little too heavily. Plus she could kind of help fend off any gangsters who might try to jump him. Blah blah she'll like him even though she used to have a vendetta against all sorts of law enforcement. Of course she wouldn't tell him she was connected.
Hooray!! Her first girl friend. I'm all for them bonding over their childhood and whatnot. I think it'll be good for them to both have a legit friendship. Just so I'm clear though, the site isn't like gang vs gang right? It's like crime vs law enforcement? Either way I'm okay with Esme and Lana being pretty good friends.

yo! so gonna be really lazy here and not have a pretty reply like everyone else baha xD
so i love esme, she's very kick ass and i'm sigrid by the way. i play anna, jon and lena if you've seen them around.
ANNA AND ESME: alrighty so anna is played by the lovely dianna agron and since these two definately have cute pictures together, i think we should plot them just for the hell of it. so anna is a thief/assassin and is basically an ice queen bitch. she only has a handful of friends and will basically act like she's superior to everyone else. i'm thinking enemies? i don't know. luca (lainey's boy) and her are friends and maggie and her aren't so hot right now because of it so i'm thinking wary enemies might be good?
LENA AND ESME: so lena is my pirate girl and she needs plots. generally she's a pretty cool person though her only real allegiance is to her pirate ship mates. basically she thieves on the high seas and then spends her time on land sleeping around, drinking, having fun etc etc. i think these two could make a good pair of drinking buddies?
JON AND ESME: rightio, so i don't really have any ideas for these two but i thought i'd throw him in just in case you wanted something with him. he's a mercenary, likes to joke around, doesn't take things seriously unless it's his job or this girl josie who he kind of adopted as his little sister (long story and she's not around yet so don't worry about her). he's generally a good guy but he will kill/maim whatever at the end of the day to get the job done.
so yeah c: have fun with that, hopefully you got something out of my ramblings haha. edit whatever you want and welcome to the site!

omg i'm so sorry i didn't see this! i just assumed no one else posted!
but yes, i agree with everything you said. i know it's anti-climatic but yeah haha! ummm i'm going to stalk jon a bit and i'll pm the account if i have anymore ideas! IM/call/thread me if you want i'm pretty much open!
EDIT: okay, so i kind of had an idea. i think it'll be funny if jon didn't know esme was in with a mafia. maybe he thought she was just a normal chick who worked at a bar. they could be friends and maybe one day he finds out she's with the mafia? idk it's random but jensen is HOTTT!

JON AND ESME: so jon does tend to spend a lot of time in bars, having a drink or picking up chicks, so yeah they could run into each other!
we should do a thread or something with any of my char's haha. choose whichever one if you want to and we can start something up!
