[atrb=style,width: 460px; background-color: B9B9B9; border: 10px dashed #088365; border-right: 15px solid #088365; border-left: 15px solid #088365; padding: 5px, bTable][th] law enforcement valkyrie used to be a peaceful city. crime rates were low, everyone seemed to get a long. that was until valkyrie became a hot spot for a lot of criminal activity. beefing up the force was just the beginning as over the course of the past ten years, valkyrie isn't just a sheriff and deputy kind of ring anymore. with recent string of crimes, homicide detectives have been neck deep in paperwork and cops are always patrolling certain areas of the city. the hardest thing the cops have to over come in the lack of witnesses, and people testifying against powerful organizations. some catch the bad guys the right way and the wrong way, but with a city over-run by crime, it's hard doing what you think is right and what is right.

captain monroe is from a long line of officers of the law. his grandfather was the sheriff for a long while before retiring, his father too. it was only natural for young billy to join the force when he was old enough. with the increase in crime, bill was promoted to the captain of the homicide unit where he has sat at now for the past fifteen years. with recent strings of mob-related homicides his unit has been working around the clock trying to crack cases. they might possibly be the most overworked unit in the force.

harold has been apart of the vpd for the past thirty three years.he has been around when the crime in the valkyrie was at it's lowest and now he is witnessing the crime at it's worst. he been the captain of the svu unit for the past ten years. he knows the svu cases get hard, but he does love his job. he likes giving justice to the victims. he's really friendly and warm, but can lay the law down when it needs to be done.

• this past february, he lost his wife in a car accident. he was driving but they were hit by a drunk driver. he escaped unscathed, but she died on her way to the hospital.
  
• now he is filled with vengeance over the trail of the drunk driver and has been overworking his cases, which his partner has noticed, just to get his mind of his wife.

you would be unwise to cross katherine. though she's used to getting smack for her gender and position, her unit knows she means only business. she's from a long line of irish immigrants that eventually made it to california. she grew up with four brothers and always ran with the boys all her life. she's overcome a lot by being one of the few women in the force and has opened a lot of doors for other women in vpd. she's a vicious woman who has been known to let her unit do whatever it takes to get the bad guys.

the locales

remember the days when there was just one location station? well, it's not like that anymore with units expanding, the local station got crowded quickly, so they took over a couple of other buildings around the city so there's more breathing space. the officers come from one station, homicide ended up getting their own as well, and svu and narcotic buddie up with the third and remaining station. the stations are really busy through out the day with people coming in and out and bringing suspects in. each station is equipped with their own slammer and interrogation rooms.

this bar, is run by a former cop, billy, who opened up his own bar years ago and it has become sort of a cop bar for cops and prosecutors come after a long days of work. it's not just a place to chill either, some people come here to get answers. one thing is for sure though, the cops that are usuals know when outsiders come into their turf.
