her tiny apartment was in shambles, completely wrecked. most of her belongings were now ruined, leaving blythe completely hopeless. she had searched the tiny one bedroom, looking for anything that might be the least bit salvagable. at least she was able to find her small stash. a few bags of assorted goodness now lay on her bed along with a tiny roll of back up cash. but just looking around the place made her heart sink. a mixture of broken glass, chunks of what she assumed were the walls, and her now filthy clothes were scattered across the floor. the only things that seemed to survive the reckage being mainly clothes, her bed, and a good portion of her stash.
to be honest the small apartment was depressing. trash bags were scattered across the floor from where she had attempted to clean, but it still looked just as trashed as it had the day of the earthquake. groaning blythe stepped carefully into the living room grabbing whatever she could find that seemed decent enough to wear. after a few minutes of digging under the sofa she was finally able to find a matching pair of shoes. a sigh escaped her lips as she grabbed the small roll of money tucking it quickly into one of the few bags she had left.
luckily for her the bus stop was right on the corner, unluckily the earthquake seemed to have stop all public transportation. groaning she began walking down the street, wishing she could be anywhere but near the depressing neighborhood. she dug through her bag pulling out a pack of newports and a lighter. a smile formed on her lips as she took a drag from the delicious cancer stick. blythe had no idea where she was going, but through the years she learned how to make nothing into something.
blythe watched as other wandered the streets. some attempting to clean up the ruble others just wandering. she stared for a moment taking another slow drag from her cigarette. everything in valkyrie seemed to be ruined, the only thing being untouched seemed to be the ocean. she giggled softly to herself as she noticed a man dragging a piece of sheet metal. blythe stared curiously at him, trying her best to figure out what he was doing. shrugging it off she continued walking stumbling upon the bowling alley. she took a final drag off her cigarette before tossing it to the ground. blythe had never really been the sportsy typer, but bowling wasn't considered a sport right?
"size seven, four rounds please." she said sweetly placing a bit of cash on the counter. giving the cashier a smile she walked to the furthest lane placing the horrible bowling shoes on quickly. unsure of what to do next she grabbed the nearsest ball, watching as the lane seemed to come to life. she took in a deep breathe trying her best to carry the ten pound ball to the lane. huffing she tossed it as hard as she could, watching as it sank into the gutter, "fuck."
