JOSEPHINE RORY RIVERS

ok, so i am swapping sadie for this new character. meet josephine. but don't call her that. she only really goes by joey or jo. so, she is the twenty two year old younger sister of syl rivers (becca's new stammy.) history-wise, it's the same as syl's. joey was born in canada, but moved to india early on. her parents were field scientists. their older brother killed their parents, so that was really hard on joey. when syl went to oxford, joey followed her, and finished her schooling at an all-girl's school. joey never planned on attending college. she was extremely intelligent, and probably could have skipped a couple grades, but she never did, she just stuck where she was suppose to be. however on the side, she was because rather deviant. back in india, some of the villagers that were thieves themselves taught her how to pick-pocket, cheat at card games, and other things that they did to stay alive. once syl dropped out of oxford, they moved to the states. skipping along, when joey turned 21, syl and her stayed in las vegas where joey made it a habit to count cards at the black jack table while pick-pocketing drunk people at the bars or walking around the casinos. while her sister was a hacker for hire, joey was stealing things (like jewelry and paintings) for people willing to pay. she also sometimes found herself in detective work for people because she tended to figure things out quickly (kind of like veronica mars.) she'd follow people around, find out things about people for others, etc. however she soon found herself getting kicked out of every casino in vegas for counting cards, and stealing things. pretty much exiled from vegas, her and syl moved to valkyrie.

so, that was a brief history and it'll be more in depth in her app. so a quick personality run-down. she's definitely the quiet one of the river sisters duo. jo hides behind her glasses and a book when she's not on a job, but when she is, she's very serious about her work and can definitely play into a situation. she also happens to be the rhyme and reason between her and syl, and the one that plans out some of their jobs. joey is extremely intelligent, but still only has a high school education. she can hack into computers, but she's not as skilled as syl is. joey just knows enough to break through firewalls and get information she needs. her skills come from cheating at card games and she has become an excellent pick-pocket from over the years. she also has the ability of being able to drive anything. usually during jobs, she jumpstarts cars as the 'getaway cars' but if you present her with any kind of vehicle, she knows how to drive it. she's put card counting on the back burner as of late just because she got burned in vegas bad. now in valkyrie, she'll probably still be working with her sister, but also stealing things and following people around if they need her to keep tabs on someone. jo is staying at the inferno and is refraining herself from getting kicked out of it. she's not associated with any of our organized crime families. her and syl are kind of just on their own. other than that, i think i got everything down. =) oh, and her pb is erin heatherton.

oh, i'm so on this! hopefully this will be a tad more helpful than the mess i posted for becca. xD doubtful. but hey, whatever. i'm so glad you decided to go with erin. me loves her. she'll probably have pics with a couple of flingers, too. i'll hunt around for those one day. soo, i love her. love her story, her personality. all of it. and i'm jumping on plotting right now, so you cannot ignore me, admin. -points- let the ranting begin!

you already mentioned to me about her living it up at the inferno. and since i have claimed that as the flinger!mafia spot, we're going to have to do something, like you said. and i already said her and river (i love the name thing, srsly xD) really should plot. he has none, and i think they'd be highly entertaining. card counters ftw! although he's never really had to do it for money or anything, he'll do it from time to time at work just because he's bored. he's my magician, so he'll be good at that sort of thing, too. pit-pocketing too. it's a skill i decided he possesses, because he's the magician part of asia. and that's the kind of thing asia is good at. so yey. anyway, enough of that. xD i decided i really want to plot them. he's a bartender at the inferno, so if she ever stops by the bar. if she's around the hotel a lot, i can see her being like, the only person he likes to talk to, rofl. as mister river is afraid of most people. he does what she does, sort of hiding behind something when he's not on the job. although he has more fun than anything with it, and he's definitely not a planner. that's navi. xD so i decided that joey and river need to be at least friends. we should plot more, but we can talk later. hmm. navi'd probably see her around, too. and if she's friends with river, she'll probably just not like joey. since the irish-russians might use syl's services, they'll probably know a little about joey. and navi's my snob when it comes to independent services, not straight from a crime organization. and she finds river's liking of cards and trivial things annoying. she might find it more sad than anything. hmm...jamie would probably see her around more than almost anyone, since he's kind of all over the hotel and casino. i see temperance liking her, a lot. she'll find her funny. aaaand, jules doesn't work at the inferno, but i forced suggested to becs we plot her and syl. so she'd probably know joey? idk. she wouldn't think much of her, just use her skills sometimes. xD asia fails at thinking of solid ideas.

soo, that turned out really bad. i apologize. but we're plottin' her and the inferno crew, definitely.<3 and if you want any of the other flingers, just say the word, admin.

posting here first because i got an idea for her first and in my exhausted state that's a damn miracle.

JOEY & EVAN k so i know she doesn't do anything the real legal way, but if she was ever looking for something substantial or a reason to tell people why she was sticking around, i could so see her and evan working together. i could actually see her becoming an intern p.i. or something. he'd love that she likes solving puzzles about as much as he does because it's not a likely quality to find in other people and i think she would like some of the cases he worked on. they're not all infidelity cases i promise. but it doesn't have to be anything long term. maybe she stumbles on him working a case, looks at his notes, and immediately knows the answer or something and whenever he's stuck he comes to her for an outsider's opinion? because you know sometimes you look at something for so long that all the lines blur and someone on the outside looking in can just see the answer like "duh you idiot." one of those moments.

JOEY & MAGGIE they have pics and we must plot them. i could see joey actually getting off on the wrong foot with maggie. if she caught joey picking her pocket or stealing from the lounge, which she would inevitably do, i could see maggie either threatening to break her fingers or threatening and then breaking her pinky finger. maggie's not one to be fucked with and the lounge is her baby so that's a double no-no. other than that...hmm i'm not really sure. they've got cute pics so we have to eventually plot something fun. maybe she helps joey realize there are consequences for her actions and she comes back to the lounge to apologize? with her pinky splinted of course xD. up to you.

anyone else you can think up plots for they're up for grabs. those are just the first two plot ideas that came to mind.

erin heatherton, eee eee. joey sounds pretty kickass, too. <3 i demand that we plot her and charlie tons, because they're both pickpockets, yay! charlie would love her. because, let's face it, charlie loves just about everybody. i think they should have met in vegas while joey was still bopping around there and charlie was there for a weekend or something. they could count cards or pickpocket together, possibly, if charlie sees her doing it... totally up to you. oooh. super random idea, feel completely free to shoot it down: they meet in vegas, get to talking and bonding and decide to go grab some drinks together. they get drunk and wake up in charlie's hotel room the next morning. they're not in the same bed or anything, but they can't remember anything about the night before and they find a card and a little gift baggie or something from one of those vegas easy in easy out wedding chapels, so they freak out because they think they might've gotten married. then they go to the chapel and find out that they actually didn't get married, they just attended a few weddings or something, haha. once again, feel free to tell me to shut up. i just though that might be funny. then maybe they kept in touch as pen pals for a while. or not. whatever. :]

ASIA

joey and river - i knowwww. i love the name thing, it's cute. yeah, i can see joey going down to the bar waiting for syl to finish doing stuff or something, so joey hangs out with river at the bar. i think they should kinda know the other is a crook. lol i can see joey telling river stories about things she's pickpocketed and river can entertain her with magic tricks. they'll be cute <3

joey and navi - don't think joey is really used to people not liking her because she's never in one place for very long. but i think if jo's hanging with river, and they're having fun, navi comes out of no where, makes a snide comment and ruins the mood xD

joey and jamie - oh i actually have a small idea. she should try and pick pocket him one day. but he actually notices, and catches her before she gets on the elevator.

joey and temper/jules - yeah, i do want joey to have a friend, and if they're all living in the inferno, it makes sense, she'd run into her. and knowing jules sounds good to me too!

RUBY

joey and evan - i really like this idea. i can see them running into each other when evan was investigating something. and then joey finds his office and comes by later that day and is like 'so, you need help?' i think joey might really get interested in the investigating aspect, but she'd let him know that how she does things isn't exactly legal. but i think she'll grow bored of valkyrie quickly since it's not like vegas, so she'll want something to do. i like it. we should do it.

joey and maggie - hahaha, i love that idea. since joey is the sweet on between her and her sister, so that happening to her would be a total shock since she's use to getting away with things. i'm sure syl will have a major problem when joey comes back with a broken finger xD and then jo starts realizing there are more criminals in valkyrie than she originally thought.

joey and charlie - so, i love love love this idea. i think it's adorable. they should of bet at a casino where they both were at the same black jack table and realized the other was counting cards. ahhh in the little gift baggie there should be a ring that joey took from one of the brides in line or something xD added freakout but totally something joey would steal when she had the chance. i think joey would of had so much fun with him. so when they run into each other in valkyrie again they're just like 'heyyy! remember when we thought we got married?' and then get some drinks and catch up.
