hey my lovely v-siders. so i’ve thought long and hard about what i want to do in regards to roleplaying, if i wanted to give it up or recreate my characters. just basically going through all the scenarios of what i could do, because let’s be honest i haven’t been the most consistent or reliable member of valkyrie for a while now. it’s taken me longer than expected to establish a stability with my life (we all know about my constant job hopping) and then with my new career, finding a routine and good balance. thankfully for me, i have permanent shifts now and they are unlikely to change unless i feel the need to pick up extra shifts for extra deniro. i dabble at trying to rp, but never can bring myself to join any sites and always end up on v-side contemplating what i should do. the site has changed a lot in the last year, and i do love the direction it is going in. unfortunately for me, my one and only character bailey doesn’t seem to fit very well anymore. i’ve plotted her, but not plots that really excite me and fill me with muse. i don’t blame any of you guys at all, everyone makes an effort to plot with me and i love you all for it. while bailey is such an amazing character i’ve grown out of her, i’ve tried to evolve her but i’m failing at it. she isn’t a challenge anymore for me, i’ve been roleplaying her for seven years and i don’t want to end up resenting her. finding her a chore to post for or reinventing her so much that she loses what made her so special to me, i don’t want that to happen. so i’m going to, put her to pasture, retire her if you will. as for where i stand here at v-side, i’m not leaving you can’t get rid of me. because i’m not ready to move on from rp-ing and you guys are like a second family to me, i couldn’t imagine rp-ing anywhere else. so in a nutshell, i’m moving on from bailey and bringing in a new character, someone older for me to roleplay and will hopefully be very plottable within the site. so without further stalling, i introduce you to my ‘no name’



she is for the moment unnamed, i’m partial to sienna, sarafina or stefania. she’ll be about twenty-six years old, a single mother and a widower. for the sake of of this brief history and info blurb i’m going to call her alba. alba was born in italy and moved to america (california, l.a) when she was a teenager, italian is her native tongue but she is bilingual. i’d love for one of the v-side families that are already established to let her into their lives, instead of me requesting family for her (since they’ll be a huge part of who she is). her father was in the mafia, as were the majority of her family. alba was never involved in it, nor did she support it. she isn’t ashamed of her family, morally she was just different to them but she loved them all none the less and was always there for them. as she grew older, she drifted further apart from her family and their values. when she was seventeen, she began dating a boy from the wrong side of the tracks. he was just poor kid who was down on his luck and not at all somebody her family would approve of. but alba was always stubborn and free spirited, and despite her father forbidding her from seeing him she kept doing so behind her families back. she fell pregnant shortly after graduation and knowing how furious her father would be at her, she was eighteen, un-wed, barely out of high school and pregnant. alba left a note telling her family what she had done and fled los angeles with her boyfriend. they moved to seattle where he got a job in construction and alba got work as a waitress. they moved from shelter to shelter trying to find a place to rent but few people gave them a chance. alba was too ashamed to call on her family for help, afraid of what her father would say to her. she knew she had done the wrong thing by taking of and leaving nothing but a note, but in all honesty she thought they would have coming looking for her and found her, they belonged to the crime world after all, they knew so many people she thought she wouldn’t get as far as the next state. it kind of hurt her that her family hadn’t (to her knowledge) come after her. they lost their baby during the fourth month of the pregnancy and with the miscarriage of her child alba knew she was better of going home, so she did. leaving her boyfriend in seattle, alba made the long drive to los angeles to face her family. only to be confronted by her furious father the two got into an argument and exchanged heated words. alba fled again, infuriated by her father’s lack of support of her relationship, she wouldn’t reason with him. she was young, naive and in love a deadly combination for a girl as passionate and stubborn as she was.

alba went back to seattle to be with her boyfriend, they stayed together for another two years. alba was twenty when she cheated on him, yes you heard right she cheated on him. it was with a young man who frequently came into the diner where she worked with his younger sister. he was an officer in the united states armed forces, just back from his first nine month tour of afghanistan. alba fell head over heels for him, he wasn’t like any other man she had known. the two moved in together after three months of dating, and this time alba was on the receiving end of the disapproval. his parents disliked her, his parents were religious and didn’t like alba and her frivolous nature. however the two stayed together and alba got in contact with her mother and a sibling (brother or sister, it depends on what family she has in l.a/valkyrie) at first they begged her to come home, but alba resisted telling them she was happy in this life away from her family’s lifestyle. he was deployed again after they had been together for nine months, this time for twelve months. with the promise that they would marry when he returned, she continued working at the diner and studied nursing at night school. his parents still didn’t approve of their relationship, but while their son was away they looked out for alba. at the ten month mark his tour was extended for another six months, alba was heartbroken and went to visit her family. they were still heavy into the crime, she reconciled with her father but firmly decided that she didn’t want to be part of that life, even if she was just living with them it was still dangerous and alba wanted to raise a family away from all the underground crime and mafia business. they married five months after his return, alba was twenty-three and he was twenty-four. alba was three months pregnant when he was deployed to afghanistan for another twelve months, she was working as a nurse and relying on his parents to babysit when she returned to work immediately after the baby was born. he came back when their daughter was four months old (for the sake of the history i’m going to call their daughter baby), and the three of them were a normal family for twelve months before he was called up for deployment again, this time he didn’t return. the two casualty assistance officers arrived on her doorstep early in the morning when she was getting baby ready to go to her grandparents, alba knew immediately what had happened. she insisted on calling his parents, but the cao’s insisted that they were already being informed. they stayed with her when her husband’s family come around and stayed well into the night. three months after the funeral, alba heard about the earthquake in valkyrie where a lot of her family was located and decided to move with baby and the chance to get away from the home that no longer felt like a home to her was welcome. so with the help of the cao’s that had been assigned to herself and her husband’s family alba packed up and returned to valkyrie.

so that is my new girl. i’d really appreciate votes on names, opinions, plot ideas and a family for her. this is just the basic outline for her, i have her extremely fleshed out in my head and i already love her. as soon as i thought of her i knew jessica alba would be the perfect face for her. i’m pretty excited about her xD

eh sometimes you just have to move on with characters but bailey was amazing and she'll always be that way so...yeah. i love the idea you have for this new girl. she sounds like she'll fit in fine.

acutally my first thought was that she'd get along with evan. he's lost a girlfriend and a baby and so he kind of shares that overall lost like she had? and i think he'd take to "baby" in an odd fashion. she'd be around the same age as his own daughter would have been had her mother no killed her so maybe he kind of connects with her? one good note is that he's not a criminal. he's a p.i. so he's not really involved in anything. he's not a cop, he's not a stalker, you know everything just works out xD. that, and they have pics together from a long time ago. evan's been in and out for a while. he moved to cali to go to ucla and then dropped out when his family died then re-enrolled a year later after he'd driven around the country just thinking. maybe they met some time way back when so he's kind of like a familiar face? err idk. i'm trying to come up with something epic and i feel like i'm falling flat. just basically the point i want to get across is that maybe he's a friend who takes to her daughter like he would his own child? yeah that's what i'm trying to say, lmao.

hmm is she's related to the gios, which i know you haven't yet determined, the whole back and forth thing with loyalty or a lack thereof would probably irk her. like make up your mind already either you want your family in your life or you want to be white picket fence boring kinda thing. but maggie would get over it if she was somehow family. the gios mean everything to her because they've pretty much become her surrogate family and i can see maggie maybe helping quell her fears about living in the life at some point? eh we'll figure something out.

j.r. would want to talk her out of living in the life. he's been trying to get out since he was a teenager and if she'd been given the opportunity and didn't take it he'd probably think she was an idiot. but then again he's also biased. she never had her father force her to pull the trigger that killed someone the way he did. he's got a lot of demons and it doesn't make him the most pleasant person to be around.

hmm, that's about all i've got for now. when we come up with some more solid stuff we can develop it more. that, and i'll throw in my other babehs when i think of something. welcome back hun. we've missed you :]

reinventing yourself is always exciting! your new girl definitely sounds interesting. i never got to thread with bailey, but i've always liked her and wanted to. we'll definitely have to come up with something for your new girl to rp together! oh, and my vote on her name is a toss up between sienna and sarafina. i love the exotic ideas you've come up with.

so i've got connor selwyn, lennox selwyn, ashtyn valas, and wrynn giovanni currently, and then i'm going to be creating a russian mafia baby and a white collar criminal in the near future.

of my currents, i really see lennox and wrynn being the most likely to interact/get along with your girl. if she's part of the gios, then wrynn would be related to her (obviously), and wrynn loves kids so she'd take to 'baby' instantly. she'd also relate to the estrangement your girl's got with her parents because wrynn has never gotten along with either of her parents for different reasons. as for lennox, even though he's related to the irish mafia, he's so much like her in the sense that he hates what his family has done and does do. he's never been into the mafia life, and he actually ran away from home and joined the theatre to get away from it. of course, now he's kind of mixed up in it because he moved in with his older brother connor, but he still doesn't approve. it would be interesting for him to get tangled up with another crime family in some way, however tenuously, drama-wise.

connor hates everyone and is hated by everyone, so it's more than likely that your girl would hate him just because he's an ass, and ashtyn's had a rather complicated past that makes it hard to plot her with just anyone. she's a little out of it because her 'upbringing' was so screwed up (she was kidnapped and sold into sex slavery when she was eight, so she doesn't know anything other than that). if you wanted to plot with either of them and had some ideas, i'm always up for anything though!

and for my upcoming charries (their info is briefly outlined in my thread in this same board "polka dots and fast cars"), they could possibly get tangled up with her somehow. kodiak (pb: matt bomer) is related to the russian mob, but he wants badly to break his ties with them although he just keeps coming back for more. in a sense, he's kind of an independent criminal, but he uses his family's weight and money to get what he wants. he's extremely charming and outgoing, so he'd definitely be friendly to her whether she's part of the italian mob or not. he wouldn't care. lol sahara (pb: chanel iman) on the other hand is an uber bitch who only cares about number one, so she'd be a likely candidate for an enemy if your girl ever needed one. lol

teeeeess <3 i've missed you, my australian buddy. good to see everything in your life settling down. but gettin' right to business. i know what you mean; i was like that with shay. bailey is fucking epic, she always will be. but you gotta move on sometimes, eh? it happens. she can be put to rest knowing she is still fucking epic. and your new girl sounds just charming. i felt the need to use that term.

i'm going to vote for sienna, just because i love that name. and you're right, j.alba is perfect for her. <3 good choice. i adore her story. and although i don't have any italians, i do have a bunch who hate them. :] any one of them would find her attempts to get out of the life just sad. you can't outrun that shit forever. i imagine that stanislav, my boy who is part of the head russian family, would have kept some sort of tabs on her. just to follow up with the other criminals who are running in and out of town, weaknesses and all that shizz. plus it's something to do. the only actual empathetic one out of the lot, i can see him maybe kinda-sorta respect what she did. uh yeah, this is going to be really lame. i'm just randomly throwing the flingers out there, so yeah xD have your pick. hmm...i have a feeling my unmade boy, miikka, would like her. despite being a russian, he was out of the life for most of his life too. and i think he'd just like her; he's pretty similar personality-wise. except he's a hockey player with anger issues and has never experienced what having a family is like xD hmm...my girl temperance would probably ignore part of the italian thing and just like her. it's what she does, although she's completely invested in the russian life and wouldn't let anything get in the way of that. she likes kids, too. wow, this sucks. xD i really need an italian or someone. this really doesn't help, i apologize. apart from keeping tabs on her, i don't think many of my characters would interact with her unless it was on professional terms. lame.

tessssssssss <3 i've missed you! and been meaning to post in this. i lov bailey as much as the next person, but you gotta do what you gotta do. wherever she went, paisely went with her <3 but let's skip to the happy stuff

for starters, i love the sound of noname. and i love all three names you have as possibilities, seriously, i could see any of them going for her. i know, i'm a load of help :] but yeah, you got my approval on whatever you choose. as for family suggestions? well obviously the gio's are an option :] dom would adore her whole heartedly. they're both sweet, opinionated, and artistic. i feel like they'd mesh instantly and like noname would have been like the big sister that dom never had. they could be all tight-knit and whatnot :] plus dom is good with kids, she could be a babysitter or something. and then i guess if you didn't want her with the gio's for whatever reason she could be related to emmett somehow, since he's italian and his dad was a mafia member unbeknownst to emmett until recently. i think they could pass as relatives? xD emmett needs some lovin' anyways.

those were the first two whom came to mind immediately. i mean, i am sure she and gale could know each other through vy, maybe noname ends up being his go-to gal on advice or something :] she and syl could maybe be friends of sorts or something. noname could try ad whip some manners into her unruly butt, be like the maternal figure syl hasn't much had? xD plus, syl's got a soft spot for kids so she could be reeled in by baby. i think they'd be kinda funny, noname flicking syl when she does something vulgar or inappropriate. baha. um, i don't see any plotting with sasha. i mean, she's russian, kinda an italian enemy, and has no soul. lol. flynn's irish, so there's probably not much going on there either. bella would like her, i think. she needs some love, and yeah. she'd be a goofball around noname, probably great with baby, mooch food off her... all that good stuff.

sorry his is freaking lame. i'm kinda burnt out and hurrying 'cause i have some project to do. :[ but if you come up with cooler ideas, shoot! <3
