"ηλίθιος," she said quietly, which was greek for idiot or stupid, her tone soft and almost sympathetic.
the minutes ticked away, noted by the alarm clock, and its bright blue numbers dutifully morphed accordingly. before she knew it, she had been watching the dumbass, ugly drunk for almost two hours. it was almost six o'clock. the sun would be rising within an hour or so. it was strange that she herself didn't feel tired at all, seeing as she hadn't slept since about eight o'clock yesterday morning. it was around that time that she had had her last shower, as well. she knew she was definitely wreaking of salt, sand, smoke and alcohol; the staple scents of a beach party. that happened to be how she and the charming young man next to her had crossed paths several hours ago; the beach party. with a short sigh, andie tore her gaze from the great lummox, tossed her slender legs over her side of the bed and padded to the bathroom. once inside, she flicked the light switch up and cringed a little at her disheveled appearance in the large mirror that stretched over the counter. she resolutely turned around, determined not to see her reflection any longer, as she quickly stripped out of the clothes she was wearing, which consisted of a hoodie, a bikini and a worn pair of denim shorts. she took a quick, warm shower, got dressed again, combed out her hair and dried it with a blow drier that was already plugged into a wall socket. then, because it smelled nice, she turned around, grabbed the small bottle of hotel shampoo and stuffed it into the pocket of her sweatshirt.
she opened the bathroom door slowly and cautiously, even though she knew that there was probably very little that would rouse the imbecile from his alcohol induced slumber. he was exactly where she had left him, on his stomach, arms at his sides, legs splayed stupidly. she crept quickly and quietly from the bathroom door's threshold and retrieved her flip flops from where she had kicked them off near the television set. after she had them securely back on her feet, she noticed a lone twenty dollar bill sitting on the cabinet that the tv rested on. with a small smile and without an ounce of guilt, she grabbed it and tucked it into the pocket of her shorts. she considered it a gift from him, to apologize both for wasting her time and being an unattractive moron.
she stole down the hallway quickly, her arms folded across her chest and her gaze cast downward. she was greeted by a gust of cool, fresh morning air once she stepped out the front entrance from the lobby. she slowed her pace a little, but continued to walk with the poise that came with predetermined purpose. that purpose was, currently, to get to a nice, steaming cup of coffee as soon as possible because, even though she didn't feel particularly tired right at that moment, she would need some caffeine in her system if she wanted to establish a solid base for her energy levels. she arrived at the beach minutes later, due to its very close proximity to the hotel, and immediately beelined for the pier. the first few shops were beginning to open, despite the extremely early hour, and andie had no trouble locating one that was selling the caffeine she was seeking. "coffee. medium," she said shortly to the rotund, mustached cashier, and payed with the twenty she had taken from her unfortunate little idiot. she began to wander down the pier, sipping her coffee, relatively satisfied. when she arrived at the very end, she simply sat down, leaning back on one hand with her coffee in the other, her legs dangling above the giant, deep blue abyss that was the pacific ocean. not a terrible morning, all in all.

------------------------------------------
------ As of that moment, Kale Barker was sitting in nothing but his boxers, a white t-shirt, grey socks, large brown leather gloves and his safety goggles on, not over his eyes but pushing back on his messy bed head hair on top of his head. He was sitting in the kitchen of what some ((meaning anna)) may call the Siren House. It was a large but run down old house in the shaks neighborhood. It would have been beautiful way back when but now, it was a little bit more on the worn side. But it was big enough for kale to chill in the attic while Donny, Widow, Liz and Orion all got their own rooms on the second floor. In the kitchen there was a large wooden tables. It would have been a beautiful table if one of them had gave it a good sanding and finish after they moved in but instead they let Kale use it. The whole table was now covered in scorch marks and maybe a hole here or there that came from a chemical spill. It was were he came up with his inventions, his babies. And sometimes, like now, he enjoyed to just watch his supplies. He liked to watch them as they stood still, just imagining the flames that those substances would one day ignite and inspire. The colors, the movements, the rhythm, the heartbeat. He liked to imagine and conceptualize the boom before the actual light up. He sat there, letting his leg jitter up and down, tapping as those around him walked around getting ready.
------ Widow was out buying books for her new law school status while Orion was at his job. It had been an interesting reunion with them. Liz was more beautiful then ever, not exactly receptive to his advances but everyone knew Siren women were not the norm. He could care less about Orion but he got on with the bloke well enough. He was enjoying himself none the less. He looked up as he heard Liz's footsteps come into the kitchen, "You know, actually wearing the safety goggles, might be useful." She said with a twinge of sarcasm to emphasize her point. Kale just sat up a bit straighter and smiled, putting a hand to his heart, "See there, I knew you cared darling, it was only a matter of time." He replied, his voice laced with his thick accent as he stood up and walked over to her. He took her glass and plate from her hands for her and walked over to the sink, placing them inside. See, he could be a gentleman. "You know love, with Widow out and your brother gone, my friend D-Day... oh somewhere buzzing around the cyber world, maybe... I actually have no clue where he is but we do have the place to ourselves." He added, hook an arm around her shoulder. Liz looked at his hand to her left and then looked up at him to her right and pulled his arm off over her. "No, you have the place to yourself, I have to go to work, first day back and all."
------ Kale smiled and took a few steps back away from Liz and towards the table holding the Lye he was just playing with by placing it onto droplets of water on the table. "Lizzy, I respect that I do. All the others just scramblin' to get the money from Donny but no, you earn your money, you're an honest worker, and it's people like you that makes Donny and therefore me so wealthy, thanks." Liz rolled her eyes before Kale added, "But do you really think it is a good idea to leave me here alone?" He asked with a smirk that seemed to say 'ha! I got you, you have to stay now.' But instead of looking frustrated she simply gave a sweet smile and walked over to him, "Of course I trust you, as long as you remember the rules when we're not around." Kale's smirk immediately turned into a frown. The rules were sort of anti-Kale. They were made so basically, he didn't destroy the house but instead they just made him feel like he was thirteen again. He narrowed his eyes as Liz spoke again, "Come on... what were those rules again? hmm?" she asked as if she were his mother. Kale crossed his arms across his chest and rolled his eyes. He let out a deep breath and scoffed, "There will be no construction or destruction while said party is absent in the house. One is not to play with anything that sparks and that includes but is not exclusive to the creation of a small but containable fire." He recited with frustration in his tone.
------ Liz smiled as she headed for the back door to go to her car, "Good boy" She said tossing him an M&M which he did in fact catch in his mouth as she walked out the door before he heard her yell back at him, "And put some pants on you putz!" Kale stopped chewing his M&M for a moment and raised his eyebrow... pants? He looked down at his shamrock boxers and shrugged as he regained chewing, okay maybe this once she had a point. He stood up again and made his way up the creaky stairs until he hit up the attic which was working as his bedroom. He quickly threw on some dark jeans, pulled a plaid over shirt on and replaced the goggles on his head with his sort of run down but lucky cap. He slid his feet into some shoes. If he wasn't allowed to play with his chemicals, then he might as well go out and find something else... or if he's lucky... someONE else to do. Kale had always been a bit lady obsessed. He loved them all. And I mean, he really loved them all. Okay, perhaps not real love as say you or I may define it but for what Kale knows love to be, he loves them all. He's even engaged. To a few women around the world. Has at least four girlfriends around the world and countless other girls he knows he can go to for some play time if he stops by. He was truly blessed. A few girls, when they realize monogamy is not in his coding, ask him why he's like this and all he can do is tell them. How is he supposed to chose between the goddesses? How can anyone ever actually expect him to chose when they're just all so perfect and... tasty? Women are like different types of alcohol. All mind altering, and more so the more time you spend with them. All amazing. And while you might not want too mix too many in one night, you don't want to just stick with one all your life. He wants tequila one night, vodka the next, with just a hint of whiskey when it hits sunday.
------ Once outside, the British boy made his way towards the Pier. It wasn't too far seeing as they were in the shaks. He liked the smell of ocean air. It was refreshing. But mostly, he loved the feel of that sun. And again his mind was back with the flames, only this time they were solar. He adjusted the hat on his head as he stepped onto the pier, smiling at a few of the girls passed him and he caught them looking... Yeah, he still had it. No matter what name he had at the moment. Oh yes, didn't I tell you. Kale Barker is no where near close to his real name. In fact, when him and Donny started their adventure, Kale had been Harry. And a year before that he had been Clive. Kale's name changed frequently. But he was sort of digging the name Kale, he was not going to mind keeping it for awhile. Now you may be wondering his real name but I'm not going to tell you. Kale doesn't tell anyone his real name. It's just not something he does. As far as he's concerned his past was erased with the first name change when he came to the USA. It was over. He stopped as he neared a gorgeous blonde who was sitting down at the end of the pier after getting a coffee. He smiled as he recognized who she was from the pictures Donny had showed him... Alright, so Widow showed him. Donny had only mentioned her a few times and bloody hell this girl was beautiful. But Donny was his mate, his only real mate, he wasn't going to screw that up. He grinned as he stepped right over to her and sat down next to her, he had never been shy... or controlled in his actions so why start now. "Why Ms. Andie," He began, looking right over at her, "Aren't you soft on the eyes! You know, I gotta tell ya, I've seen pictures and heard stories but neither them, nor him, do you any justice whatsoever... You are bloody gorgeous." He spoke with a happy upbeat tone as if she would have any idea who he was.

she took a generous gulp of her coffee then set the white styrofoam cup down on the pier beside her and considered the rest of the day as she stared off into the distance. she didn't have to work, thankfully. in fact, the only thing she could think of that she really needed to get done was to go shopping for a few groceries. this depressed her a little. a random breeze dislodged a lock of her freshly washed hair from behind her ear and she quickly tucked it back into place. she put both of her hands back out behind her and leaned her weight onto them, stretching the muscles in her back a wee bit. there were a few more people milling about on the pier now, she saw. most of them seemed to be morning people out for walks or jogs or surfs. there were a couple young men of noteworthy attractiveness hanging around within a few dozen feet of her and, out of habit, she made ever so subtle adjustments in her posture and her expression, so that she was holding herself in a position of maximum allure. she had no idea why she knew this or how she had figured it out, but she knew that it had to be true.
though she had managed to register the fact that a young man in a plaid shirt was walking in her direction, she hadn't realized he was planning on plopping down on the pier right next to her until he had already done it. he seemed perfectly comfortable, too, like what he was doing was quite possibly the most natural things anybody could ever possibly hope to do. she sat up a bit straighter, her face arranged into an expression of mildly quizzical coldness. he wasn't bad looking, that was a positive. all in all quite attractive. "why ms. andie. aren't you soft on the eyes! you know, i gotta tell ya, i've seen pictures and heard stories but neither them, nor him, do you any justice whatsoever... you are bloody gorgeous." what in the hell was wrong with this poor fucker? andie could only stare at him for a moment, her brow creased, trying to fathom what he could have possibly meant by what he had said. he had a pretty thick accent, sounded like he was from somewhere in the uk. and he knew her name. how had he known her name? why had he seen pictures and heard stories? fuck, it was much too early in the morning to try and puzzle something like this out. she simply continued staring at him for a moment, then straightened up into a complete sitting position and grabbed her styrofoam cup of coffe once again. she took a quick sip before returning her grayish-greenish gaze back to the bizarre stranger sitting next to her and found herself delicately playing with the idea of dumping the watery, caffeinated liquid somewhere on his person, just for the hell of it. she decided to keep that idea stored away safely in the back of her mind somewhere and bring it back out if the situation suddenly called for it later. fortunately, she had an inkling that this particular situation would more than likely call for it. and, if not, if she really felt the need to get some aggression out of her system, she could always invent some sort of excuse. she was very resourceful when it came to that kind of thing.
"i think you should tell me who the fuck you are," she said casually through her greek accent. "because you seem very creepy and weird, and if you are, i do not want to waste any more time on you than i have to." her tone itself was not particularly unfriendly, even if her words seemed so, and she once again found herself making extremely minor adjustments in the way she was carrying herself to bring about optimal attractiveness, even if at this point she was simply sitting in a slight slouch and looking at the guy next to here like he had a pair horns growing out of his forehead. ever seductive, she was.

------------------------------------------
------ All of Kale's life had been a mixture of normal and insane so it's no wonder he tends to be boarder line when it comes to sanity.Kale was one of those sorts of people. He had basically been through so much pain that he forgot how to feel it. Or at least, that's what it always seemed like. No one knew about Kale's past. Except for Kale. Not even Donny and Kale knew Donny's biggest secret about being Heyward. But no, Donny still didn't even know Kale's real name. All people really, truly knew about Kale Barker, or technically, the boy who called himself Kale Barker for the moment was that he was from somewhere in the UK and liked to watch things go boom. He was an interesting guy and that's all people really needed to know right? The truth was that the guy was a son of a cop believe it or not. That's right, his father was in law enforcement. Guess Kale wasn't exactly what his father had in mind for a son right? But none of that mattered. At the end of the day, with all the bad things someone could say against Kale's character, he was a good friend to those he cared about. Donny knew Kale had his back. The truth was Kale's early life was nothing that wasn't ordinary. He had sort of a classic, hard home life set up. His father was a cop. His mother a mild tempered weakling. His father was abusive. His mother did nothing for years before abandoning them. Kale tried to protect his sister and failed. So what made Kale be so different from other who lived through similar stories? Fuck like anyone knows. And maybe that was the point. Either way, it was what it was.
------ You want to know what the most normal part of him was? His libido. I am telling you, he is such a stereotypical guy when it comes to women. He loves them. He loves them in all shapes and sizes. If he could marry all of them, he would and he would have lots of babies and teach them all how to build dynamite out of common house hold items. He loved them brunette, redhead, black hair and blonde and any of the mixtures in between. But right now his attention was focused on the blonde bombshell as Donny had so aptly described her, in front of him. Or I guess, to the side of him, and she did not seemed that thrilled that a random stranger came up and just began talking to her like her knew her and like that was normal. "i think you should tell me who the fuck you are, because you seem very creepy and weird, and if you are, i do not want to waste any more time on you than i have to." Kale smiled and laughed a bit at her response. Angsty words with a very cool and calm delivery. It was fabulous, no wonder this girl got his boy's head in a twirl. He nodded "He told me about the accent too, Donny-boy definitely has a way of finding the attractive foreigners." Kale put out his hand to the girl, "The Name's Kale Barker. And you are Andromeda." He stated clearly, his thick accent hinging every word. "I am a friend of your ex, Donny Davis." He began to explain, "See love, I've been travelin' with 'im for the past couple years, plenty o' time for him to fill me in. He had to come back here for some business and I decided to follow... He described you as beautiful, but I believe that was an understatement."
------ Donald Davis was a fairly practical guy. He could be a dork, definitely and he could get very ridiculous at times, especially when surrounded by Kale. The two usually acted like little kids around each other. Donny was a different person around Kale. He was a different person in general now. The big difference? He was no longer a romantic. Five years ago he believed in the whole idea of true love and being eternally happy with one person but through the five years, five years of finally growing into his looks and that added to a cool demeanor he had always possessed, he had women hitting on him. It was a new experience for a girl to cross a room to come talk to him and perhaps it had gotten to his head but he liked to no longer be the doting puppy dog following the girl around by her heels. Maybe it was the sense of power his first killing had given him. He seemed a lot happier lately, but he was on a very dangerous path. He needed something to keep him grounded before he turned into the next ruthless murderer. The hacking could be handled, but he wasn't really in the business to kill. It was not something he enjoyed but the bastards that shot Iz deserved it so bad in his head that he barely blinked. Point was, he was still the same guy in a lot of ways, he still thought things through in a more practical fashion. He was never one to believe in such things as fate.
------ But after dealing in a small transaction of information hand offs, as if by fate, he was walking down the pier. As he passed the blonde and the Brit, he was distracted counting the money in his hand, he didn't notice the attractive brunette giving him the eye as she passed but he did notice that family British boy's voice. He stopped and looked up and around before he saw Kale at the edge of the pier sitting next to some girl. Actually she seemed familiar but as Donny could only see her back he doubted it could be her. He smiled and quickened his pace as he approached Kale, "Hey Kale, what are you--" He had to break for a moment as he saw the girl Kale was sitting with was in fact Andromeda Wallace, "-- doing here..?" He said, finishing his question but as Kale began to speak Donny cut him off, his eyes on Andie. "Hey Andie, long time." Was all he could manage to say at first. His eyes stayed on her as Kale stood up next to him, "I saw her sitting here, recognized her from the pictures and figured I would say hello." Kale stated with a nod. Donny finally looked at Kale who stood their with a smirk on his face, Donny shook his head and looked back at Andie, "Sorry if he bugged you, I swear he needs a leash." Donny added with a small hint of humor in his voice. It had been so long.

, andromeda ainsley wallace BUT FACES CHANGE AND RULES THEY GET REARRANGED AND PHOTOGRAPHS ALL MEET THEIR FATE BY FADING AWAY
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - sometimes, for reasons completely beyond her realm of understanding, she felt incredibly old. weary and spent and ancient, far beyond her actual twenty two years, though entirely without any of the wisdom old age sometimes had to offer. and other times she felt just like she did when she was very young; a lonely little girl who wanted to go home, always, even though she hadn't the slightest idea where home was. and, sometimes, she felt so incredible small and sad that she just wanted to take off running and not stop until she was very far away from herself. which would probably be interesting to some people, seeing as andie constantly projected an atmosphere of complete confidence and cool apathy meshed with the general icy satisfaction that is caused. it rather made andie wonder if anyone on earth was genuinely happy, or if they were all just putting up with it and faking it between sporadic episodes of momentary joy.
the creep sitting next to her, he seemed happy. but he also seemed like the charismatic, womanizing type, and andie had observed that those people were often rarely actually satisfied with what went on in their lives. many of them chased tail incessantly because sex felt good and they were sure that, if they got enough of it, they too would feel good, happy, and simply better in general. then again, there were also some charming man whores who actually were probably about as happy and content with life as one could hope that they would be. you could never truly know what was going on in another person's head. hell, it was hard enough knowing what was going on in your own head. which was why andie didn't really trust people. not about the things that mattered. the closest she had ever come to trusting a person in that way had been when donny davis had been in her life, and she didn't like to think about that. he was gone now. she hadn't seen him five fucking years. she was doing her very best to forget him, to convince herself that everything that had happened hadn't been that important. just an on again off again, relatively fucked up little relationship.
she took another slow sip over her coffee, breathing in its heat and the saltwater air of the ocean, removing her gaze from the attractive young man sitting next to her. "he told me about the accent too, donny-boy definitely has a way of finding the attractive foreigners." he extended his hand out to her, and she whipped her head around to once again meet his eye. donny...? oh no. she could only stare for a moment before she vaguely extended her own hand and shook his his, a feeling of dread rising up in her. not donny davis. please don't let him know donny davis. some other donny. for the love of god. "the name's kale barker. and you are andromeda." he had a very thick accent, andie registered. british or maybe irish or something. "yes," andie responded, managing to keep her voice icy and calm, despite the mild frenzy that was going on inside her head. she had gotten quite good at it over the years. "i am a friend of your ex, donny davis." oh fuck, fuck, fuck. just hearing it, his name, felt like a quick punch to the gut. she squeezed her eyes shut for a moment, pushing back all the memories threatening to drown her mind. she opened them again as soon as she could and regained eye contact with this kaleb baxter or whatever the hell he had said his name was. "see love, i've been travelin' with 'im for the past couple years, plenty o' time for him to fill me in. he had to come back here for some business and i decided to follow... he described you as beautiful, but i believe that was an understatement." no. donny was back? back in valkryie? this wasn't happening. this couldn't happen. it wasn't fair. andie bit her bottom lip, then inhaled, trying to calm her thoughts. all of kale's compliments were flying right over her head, though had donny not been brought into the conversation, she would have been smugly and yet boredly tossing them into her mental bank. she swallowed. fuck, she had no idea what to say. what they hell could she say? "donny is here?" she asked, managing to keep the fervor out of her voice, but not managing to implement as much icy casualness as she would have liked. she decided to change topics. they couldn't pursue this one. it was dangerous. "where are you from?" she asked bluntly.
but then... something incredibly unfair happened. andie was vaguely aware of footsteps approaching them from behind, but she wasn't paying very much attention until she heard the voice that belonged to their owner. "hey Kale, what are you--" her eyes widened and her heart sank. "-- doing here..?" kale tried to say something, but the voice cut him off. andie was petrified. "hey andie, long time." she knew she had to turn around and look at him, but she didn't want to. if she did, something horrible would happen. but she couldn't not look at him. she wanted to get up and run far, far away, to where she could pretend that this had never happened. kale stood up and andie slowly turned around in her sitting position to face the guy behind her. donny. seeing him brought it all back, everything she had been able to push back when kale had said his name. it was much worse than the punch to the gut. all at once, she wanted to jump up and slap him, she wanted to burst into tears, she wanted to throw her arms around him. she grabbed her coffee and stood up, doing her very best to keep her movements casual and keep them from portraying what was going on inside her head. it was donny, it was donny, donny fucking davis, standing right next to her. this couldn't just happen, goddamn it. it wasn't fair. he was right here, casually saying that it had been a long time. andie was about to burst right out of her skin. "hi," she said, throwing all her harried mental energy into making the singular word as cold and disinterested as she could make it. a defense mechanism or something, she supposed. "i saw her sitting here, recognized her from the pictures and figured i would say hello." kale was talking, but andie wasn't really listening. she couldn't take her eyes off of donny, even though she desperately wanted to. then donny moved his gaze from kale back to her and their eyes met and her heart nearly stopped. oh hell. "sorry if he bugged you, i swear he needs a leash." andie cocked her head to once side slightly, trying to figure out what the fucking hell she could possibly say. "a leash would be a good investment," she said. she paused. calm. she had to keep everything calm. "what are you doing here?" she blurted, without as much restraint as she needed. fuck. fuck it all.

------------------------------------------
------ Kale was truly happy as a clam standing near the two ex-lovers. The Brit could easily see that Donny was a lot less cool on the inside as he was on the outside but honestly, this was a test of some sorts. No, it was completely a test. When Kale and Donny first met up five years ago, Donny was a mess. He was depressed because of his sister, even though by that point he had already taken revenge on her killers. He was heartbroken because he had left the same blonde in their presence now. The way Kale saw it though, Andie played with the boy so much it was fine that Donny left and that he probably should of left a lot earlier. The way Donny had seen it back so many years was that she had actually been there for him when Isabel died so maybe she had finally been ready for something real when he left her. It was pathetic. Now, Kale was a different sort of guy when it came to love. Kale loved women. God did he love them. He loved them all, every size, shape and color, they were all princesses to him. He had been with probably every type of girl you could think of. He had been with asian girls, black girls, white girls, thin girls, tall girls, fat girls, actually he really liked the big girls in general, he had been with tomboys, girlie girls, the feminist, the sorority girl, the sluts, the bookworms, the frigid bitches, the sarcastic, the trailer trash, the elitists, the artsy, the gothic, the preppy, the activists and the business women, and More.... He loved them all. So he could never be monogamous and actually encouraged his women to see other men. He wanted it to be fair and he was far from the jealous type. PLus, if they were with other guys, it gave him time to be with his other women.
------ Donny boy was different though. Kale knew that, and that's why Donny got played with. Whether it was a good thing or not, Kale had sort of taken Donny under his wing the past five years ago. He got Donny to get out and live a little without consequences. Kale got him to travel the world as A.Heyward and forget about all the shit that had once held him back. Most importantly, Kale helped Donny get laid enough that Donny knows how to get laid by multiple different types of women with ease. It was just lucky he sort of grew into his looks over that time too. He never coined in on it as much as Kale did but Kale was still proud. The less you cared about everyone else's feelings imposed onto them from being raised up in a society that pushes monogamy down their throats for the sake of the economy, the better. The more Donny could focus on being happy himself. Kale knew that seeing Andie was a reminded of a different Donny, a depressed, desperate, love sick Donny. So this was a test. If he came out of this, not really feeling anything different, he would show that he wasn't that guy anymore. Although, Kale would like to see Donny pick up Andie and after they had had sex, if he could still walk away and not get dependent on a relationship, have it be just sex, that's how to prove you're over someone, maybe he should do that.... Not that any of this was Kale's business but hey, bro-code, he couldn't sleep with Andie so he was kind of bored. No, strike that he was completely bored, he may as well meddle.
------ Kale looked over at the blonde, to answer her question before Donny arrived, "I'm from England love, the shitty parts." He replied, almost with a laugh in his tone near the end of the statement. Donny glanced at Kale and gave an amused smile for a moment before he looked back at Andie. Seeing her was strange for him. She looked pretty much the same, gorgeous and blonde and thin but with curves. Curves you could even see through her grey sweatshirt. Donny was a bit torn on seeing her though. Should he feel bad because of how it ended? Because he didn't really... Maybe he should have but he figured she would have moved on with her life with ease. Probably moved on the night he left her in that apartment. It was sort of shitty of him not to say anything before he took off but... I don't know, he just could not feel bad about it anymore. If anything, he was kind of happy to see her. Like she was just an old friend and it had been awhile. But none of that meant he had forgotten how this girl had made him feel. When he was with her, way back when, he had felt like the world was his. He may be cavalier about it now, but he remembered how it felt that night they kissed in the rain. How it felt when he realized someone like her cared about someone like how he had been at that time. And that was the problem really. He wasn't that guy anymore. He was no longer the loser who had never really had a girlfriend. He was no longer the guy who would let a girl walk all over him, and at the end of the day, that was the guy Andie knew. Andie knew a dead man.
------ Donny gave a friendly, smile. He could here it in her voice, the false and forced cold icey tones she had always been able to master. He still remembered how to read her, and she was not okay with him being here. "what are you doing here?" See, there it was. Donny stayed with the smile and glanced around the pier briefly before shrugging. "At the pier to collect on a job, Valkyrie to help out a friend." Donny stated casually. Bad timing for some girls to pass them and very obviously check out Donny, especially since he did glance very briefly at them. He took a deep breath and looked back at Andie as if that hadn't just happened, "Uhh... Widow... if you remember her? I think you guys met a couple times. She returned here to go to Law School and sort of called all of our group back here." He spoke with genuine casual tones of this disinterested interest in catching up. Kale nodded, "Wid... oh and her friend, Maggie... both future wives for the record." Donny rolled his eyes, "Kale, Maggie's married already." Kale looked from Andie to Donny and smiled, "What? That dont mean nothin". Donny shook his head slightly and looked back over at the blonde girl, "I'm surprised to see you're still in town, though. You look good."
