so hi, i'm lainey requesting the lovely minka kelly. which means her face is non-negotiable, sorry, i want her. so her character got a nickname awhile back and now she's being requested but she's been known as bo-town girl, and you will soon see why, but for now we'll name her minka for the sake of the request. so, here's the skivvy on her. minka is from boston. born and raised. her father works for the colombo crime family in new york city, aka, he's part of the italian mafia. he's pretty high up in the mafia totem pole. high enough that he expanded the family business to boston, mass. where he does most of his work. minka is one of his daughters. (it's up to you how big her immediate family is.) she's 24 years old and knew about what her family did really early on in her teenage years. she's really independent and smart and very much a social butterfly. when she was eighteen, she attended boston university and graduated with a degree in criminology when she was 21. while she was getting a degree, she convinced her dad to let her work for him. he let her do small stuff like checking the books, finding out who owed who, and other things related to the gambling branch of the business. her father is old friends with fausto giovanni, who is the mob boss of the giovanni family on the west coast. the gios and the colombo family had been allies for a long time. so when fausto called adrianne's father for a favor, he agreed. the favor was fausto's nephew, luca, had a hit on him from the russians and he needed some place to stay and work. minka's dad put luca to work as a bookie, and that's where luca and adrianne met, because both of their jobs crossed paths many times.
they sort of unofficially/officially worked together. and luca never really revealed too much about himself. all she knew about him was that he was a giovanni on the run. they got a long, and over the four years he was there in boston, they got close enough to be considered close friends. nothing happened between them, but she started to crush on him because she was around him so much. they even learned that the russians dismissed the hit and minka thought he'd go back, but luca didn't and she thought maybe they had a chance together. one day though in the middle of january, she went to his apartment to see he wasn't around. he just up-and-left. she asked her dad what was up and her dad said that luca went back to valkyrie because there was an earthquake. she was kind of hurt that he just left without saying goodbye and she thought he might be coming back. but the weeks passed and luca never contacted her and eventually she just decided she'd go to valkyrie and see what the deal was. she'll be quite surprised when she learns that luca is actually married.
ok, that was really long and i apologize. but the backstory had to be said. in a nutshell, minka is very driven, independent, not weak by any means, loyal to those close to her, clever and quick-witted, and a girl that can hang with the boys. if you take her, trust me, you'll get plots thrown at you left and right. she'd be connected to a lot of people on the site. she'll be fun, trust me =) if you have any question (because i know italian mobs can be complicated) just pm, i can answer any question you may have.
