Alec ___ ___
So, this is Alec. His last and middle names are for you. You can really pick any name for him, even first, Alec's just the one mary will use in memories for now. But yeah, his name is up to you. So is most of his background. I am pretty set on him being the amazing Hugh Dancy for two reasons, 1) he fits the persona well and 2) he actually has pictures with Mary. If you take him I can assure you plots. With me and I'm sure tons others would be completely happy to plot as well. He would be a blast to have, I almost considered making him but I want to be able to rp with him, so it would not have made sense. Anyways, about him.
Alec would be between 27 and 29. He's British. His family and history is up to you, but he is well educated. He went to Oxford Law School (he would have had to gone younger than the average man, so skipped a few grades maybe?) and became a Human Rights Lawyer. Alec is one of those really cultured and worldly men. He has defended freedom fighters, he has travelled around the world and more. He is very caring and charitable. He is intelligent and well read. He is one of those men that rocks a suit like no other and represents the epitome of romance. A man women tend to swoon over and other men tend to hate because it's hard to compete for a girl against a guy who can tell stories about helping children and freeing freedom fighters on top of being good looking, well dressed, wealthy and intelligent. It's a killer combo. Alec does have some arrogant tendencies, but over all he is not an arrogant person. He is simply very aware of his intelligence and affect on people. Basically, he knows he is impressive. He also has low tolerance for those who fit the "ignorant american" stereotype. He can be a little stiff when uncomfortable. He is also not immune to the little pissy man fights where they puff out their chest and try to out do each other and while he might show up a lot of men in class, wealth and knowledge, he has always been a big failure at sports, even golf. Good at chess though.
He is a one girl type of a guy, despite that he could easily have more. And when he was on a business trip, working with Unicef for a case in Indore, India, he met a young intern, Mary Connors. This would be about two years ago. He was sort of instantly attracted to her. She was smart, he found her beautiful, she had wit, didn't try to kiss his ass but was still warm, friendly and open and she seemed to actually care about human rights as he did from a genuine place. He sort of swept her off her feet, and she him. They began to date for awhile but when the case finished, he had to go back to England and she had to continue on with Unicef so they broke up. They kept in contact though, as good friends since they both travel so much.
About a month or so ago, when he got a call from Mary, she happened to tell him she was going back to California. She had a job in the Unicef branch there and she felt she should because of the quake, and she would be staying there awhile. Then Alec got an idea. He asked to be transferred, at least for now, to the law firm's LA offices so he could commute easily from Valkyrie and maybe try to reignite things with Mary. Will probably be dealing with more criminal law while here, which will give him an opening to plots with criminals and law enforcement while here
So yeah, that's him. I love him. There is a promise of drama and plots, especially with Mary's childhood best friend, crush and the guy who told her he loved her before she left for five years hanging around, Reed Turner, who just so happens to be a polar opposite of Alec. And yes, I would love love love ANYONE to take him. Because his whole persona excites me. Oh and I can always help with graphics.
And Bribe time of them being cute, probably in India together.
